2 ¼ cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 sticks unsalted butter, room temperature - recommend using Land O' Lakes
¾ cup cane sugar
¾ light brown sugar
2 eggs -or- 2 1/4 cups of yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with cooking spray or parchment paper.
In one bowl, combine flour and baking soda.
In another bowl, add room temperature butter and mash with a fork until softened. Then add in cane sugar and combine. Add brown sugar and combine. Add eggs, one at a time, while combining. Finally, add in the vanilla extract, and combine.
Combine the flour and baking soda into the mixed butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla bowl; combine.
When the dough reaches its thickened form, mix in the chocolate chips.
Using a spoon or small ice cream or cookie scoop, scoop out a spoonful of dough, and place on the prepared pan.
Bake for 12 minutes.
Allow cooling for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
