The Sunday Cookbook: Slow Cooked Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs

Updated: Apr 12

  • Mozzarella cheese cut in ¾ inch cubes

  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese

  • ½ cup whole milk

  • 2 lb of grass-fed ground beef

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 cup bread crumbs

  • ½ cup chopped parsley

  • 2 eggs

  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients, with the exception of the mozzarella cubes, and combine.

  2. Roll golf-ball-sized balls with the meat mixture. Squish a mozzarella cube into the center and pull the edges of the meatball around it, reforming the ball again.

  3. Coat the bottom of the slow cooker with a layer of tomato sauce.

  4. Arrange meatballs in the slow cooker and cover in remaining tomato sauce.

  5. Cook on high for 2 to 2.5 hours.
