Oats & Chocolate Energy Bites


  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats, raw

  • 2/3 cup finely grounded oats

  • 1/2 cup sunflower seed butter (can also work with peanut butter, almond butter, cookie butter, etc)

  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 6 tablespoon chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life's chocolate chips)


  1. Add all the ingredients to a large mixing bowl and mix until everything is combined and evenly distributed.

  2. Place parchment paper on a baking sheet

  3. Grab a small amount of the mixture and, with your hands, roll into a bite-sized ball, using similar motions as when making meatballs.

  4. Lay balls on the baking sheet and freeze for an hour to overnight
