Pineapple Bun Burgers


  • 1 lb. ground grass-fed beef

  • sea salt

  • garlic powder

  • 8 pineapple rings

  • 1 large red onion, sliced into rings

  • 8 slices cooked bacon

  • *optional* 4 slices pepper jack (or cheese of your choice)

  • Olive Oil


  1. Begin with cooking your bacon as you like it cooked; set aside.

  2. Heat grill to medium-high. In a large bowl, combine ground beef and season with salt and garlic. Form into 4 patties.

  3. Drizzle the pineapples and red onions with olive oil and salt.

  4. Grill patties, pineapple, and red onion until charred, 3 minutes per side. Top burger patties with pepper jack cheese and cover grill to let melt, 1 minute.

  5. From bottom to top: 1 slice pineapple as the bottom bun, burger patty, bacon, and grilled onions, then top with pineapple bun.
