I had a hard time finding an all-purpose flour mix that was also free from gluten, nightshades, coconuts, and corn. This Enjoy Life Foods flour was the first and only store-bought all-purpose flour I was able to have. Unfortunately, as the story goes, a lot of food-allergy products often get discontinued due to a lack of sales or demand. This is the sad truth when specialty products are no longer finding it to be cost-efficient to continue to produce some of their products. That is why it leaves us to make it ourselves!
So, without further adieu, we present you with our recipe recreation of this once amazing store-bought all-purpose gluten-free flour mixture!
2 cups arrowroot starch
1 cup white rice flour
1 cup buckwheat flour
1/2 cup millet flour
1/2 cup brown rice flour
1/4 cup cassava flour
3 tablespoons brown rice protein
Whisk ingredients together in a large bowl until well combined.
Store in a container or mason jar and use it as needed. We like to make a bulk to always have on hand for baking and cooking.
