The flavor profile for this sweet ginger and lime sauce has it all! It is sweet, tangy, and savory.
I first developed this nut-free recipe when I needed to avoid peanuts and other nuts. Even though I can eat peanuts again, I still prefer the creamy richness of Sunbutter sunflower seed butter. It makes a fantastic sauce that works beautifully as a dressing, dip, or in noodle and stir-fry dishes.
Granted, if you can have peanuts or other types of nuts, feel free to replace the Sunbutter ingredient in the recipe below with a nut butter choice you prefer!

This sauce pairs perfectly when we make homemade rice-paper spring rolls. It has become a bit of a tradition to make these on New Years Eve and I am already looking forward to it! I have my pantry stocked with Sunbutter just for the occasion.
